As you already know, there's a lot that goes into creating and maintaining an effective online presence.
Ensure that your site effectively reaches your entire potential audience regardless of abilities.
HTML, CSS, Javacripting and many other technical aspects of your website must work together to provide a great user experience.
Complex technology and topics can be converted into explanations that your audience easily understands. Once they do, they will use this understanding to make buying decisions.
Whether you're an existing company doing a refresh of a brand or a new company just getting noticed, a brand means more than the logo on the website. You provide something people want, let them know that you're the best place to find it.
Knowing how your visitors find your online content and what they do when they find it is an essential part of making your website effective.

Deeply involved with the new setup of an inriver PIM to accommodate data from worldwide websites. At John Deere, we implement timely website updates based on input from a variety of international stakeholders using TeamSite CMS, Akeneo PIM and SiteImprove Quality Checker to ensure that the content meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

In 2018, the Marine Industry brands of Power Products, LLC were purchased by the Brunswick Corporation (read the official press release here). As a result, the Construction Industry brands became a new corporate entity named ECM Industries. This provided me the opportunity to:

At Rexnord, I was part of a very small marketing team that took on the task of refreshing the entire web presence for the company and maintaining that new site daily. This required a proven ability to work efficiently with a wide variety of marketing and IT professionals on a daily basis to:

Seeing the need for a web presence for a local music project, took the initiative to help the owner register a domain name and set up the technical structure of an original website for a musician's network in Maryville, Tennessee using WordPress.
The first installation of inriver PIM in North America created a system where the PIM dynamically fed data in real-time to both a large distributor network and public websites built in Sitecore.
Power Products, LLC was eventually sold, resulting in the creation of Navico Group and ECM Industries. Both continued using the inriver system.
Responsible for branding a new corporate identity with a new style guide. Wrote product descriptions for both marine and construction-based product lines. Maintained accurate descriptions and product data in an inriver PIM that fed data to both the public facing websites and distributor networks.
Since 2018, have maintained a web presence for The Rockin' Psalms from Green Bay, Wisconsin. The online branding is part of an overall strategy that supports two consecutive WAMI Award nominations for both the group and the website, multiple album releases, and a steady stream of live performance videos.
Worked with a husband and wife team to launch a website to sell the same products they sold in their physical storefront. The effort was so successful that they eventually closed the physical location and sold strictly online from their home until retirement.
Researched and wrote service and user documentation for a medical equipment manufacturer. Used a three-stage formal review process to ensure accuracy and quality. Marquette Medical Systems has now become part of GE Medical Systems.
My initial project was updating the 300+ page Product Catalog for the company by interviewing dozens of product managers. Upon completion, I was assigned other projects in various parts of this very large company. Used a three-stage formal review process to ensure accuracy and quality.
During college, I worked part-time helping a small company edit and update very outdated and sexist language from an instructional book series. Once that was complete, I worked with the sales manager to develop, promote and sell our desktop publishing capabilites to outside customers.
Having been involved with the very first installation of the inriver PIM in North America (Power Products LLC in 2013) I have developed a robust understanding about how accurate, timely and distributable product information can elevate a company in the eyes of the customer.
I am currently involved with the initial setup of a new inriver PIM instance to support the international web presence of John Deere.
While a proper data setup can be tedious, I love doing it. The satisfaction of seeing both external and internal users using product data to quickly and accurately communicate with customers is something I enjoy seeing.
In the realm of web design and digital accessibility, there exists a set of guidelines known as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These standards serve as beacons of inclusivity, guiding designers and developers towards creating online spaces that are welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
My latest educational adventure immerses me in properly using the latest WCAG standards. The first stop was extensive online training. Then, it was on to using the standards on an international corporate website.
The fact that I use the WCAG standards on a daily basis does not prevent me from always learning more. Today, I continue my education through certification by Siteimprove. See a list of ongoing Siteimprove certifications
The Short Leasch music project provides countless opportunities. The new domain name is established and the beginning of a website is set up live using WordPress. The next challenge is developing quality video content for promotion.
As a special bonus, they've even let me play some bass guitar for the video. That should be interesting...
